Something Blue
Three brooches go on the cream jacket and not one of them matches another.
This design has the Final Touch: the wording is stamped, stitched or foiled to match the artwork, so the card reads as one finished piece.
Start from it and your wording is painted in the same way, exactly as you type it.
What the Final Touch isA bachelorette party invitation for the night one cream denim jacket does all the work. The bride gets it over her shoulders in the hallway, and everyone else turns up in indigo because the dress code was not a suggestion. BRIDE is spelled across the back in pearls. A tulle bow sits at the collar, slightly crooked, and gets retied once before the first photograph.
Brooches arrive in a sandwich bag: a sapphire oval from an aunt, a flower with one pearl in the middle, a small starburst nobody can account for. They go on in the back of the car. The fringe hem catches on the first bar stool, the room decides it looks better with one strand missing, and the jacket stays on through last orders.

What to actually tell people
- Rule on the colour before anyone shops Cream, ivory and bone all read as white under bar lighting. Say which shades are out in the group chat, in writing, a week ahead.
- Bring spare pin backs Borrowed brooches lose their catches on a dance floor. A few locking backs in a pocket will save an heirloom that was lent to you in good faith.
- Photograph at the flat, not the bar Pearls and fringe need a plain wall and a flash, and cream denim records the first drink permanently. Do the pictures before the taxi.
- Book a table with floor clearance A fringed hem finds every stool rung and bag strap in the room. Ask for a booth or a long table rather than high seats at the bar.
