Bottomless
The carafe comes back full four times and nobody has ordered food yet.
Part of the TinselLux™ collection: invitations in stitched leather, tufted velvet, linen and satin.
The material is the card: linen with a visible weave, velvet with a nap, leather with its grain. It costs the same as every other invitation.
See the collectionThis brunch invitation imagines a table booked for eleven under a name the restaurant already recognises. Everyone arrives in a cropped jacket they customised themselves: rhinestone hearts, a row of pearls along the seam, a fringed hem that moves every time someone stands up for a photo. The first carafe lands before the menus are opened, and the menus stay closed for a while after that.
Food is ordered eventually, in a single long sentence, and most of it is shared. The staff switch to the lunch board around two, which is the usual signal to settle up and go somewhere else. Somebody does suggest somewhere else. The table stays where it is.

What to actually tell people
- Ask for the long table Call ahead with a firm number and request the long table rather than a booth. Rhinestone cuffs and a padded booth corner do not get along, and fringe needs a chair back it can hang off.
- Find out when the refills stop Most places cap bottomless at two hours from the first pour. Ask when you book, then set the start time so the last refill lands well before anyone needs to be anywhere.
- Settle the money in advance Put one card down and name the per-person figure in the group chat the night before. Nobody should be doing arithmetic at a table that has been drinking since eleven.
- Bring clear nail glue Crystal fringe loses a stone or two on chair backs and bag straps every time. A small tube of clear glue and two safety pins in someone's bag fixes it at the table in under a minute.
