Market Run
Lemons bought at the first stall sit under the table through the whole brunch.
Part of the TinselLux™ collection: invitations in stitched leather, tufted velvet, linen and satin.
The material is the card: linen with a visible weave, velvet with a nap, leather with its grain. It costs the same as every other invitation.
See the collectionThis brunch invitation begins at the market rather than at the table. Everyone meets at the coffee cart, works the stalls in a loose line, and buys more than the list said. Someone takes the flower bucket. Someone takes the eggs. One guest comes back with a flat of berries and no plan for them beyond the drive home.
Then the group walks to the table that was held in advance, and the totes go under the chairs. Bread gets torn and passed before anyone orders. The receipts come out, the jam gets compared, and the bag of lemons stays unexplained until the coffee is refilled.

What to actually tell people
- Meet at the coffee, not the gate A market has three entrances and one good coffee cart. Name the cart. Everyone needs a cup before the first stall anyway.
- Keep spare totes by your door One guest will arrive carrying nothing but a phone and leave holding a bunch of chard. Two extra canvas bags in the car solves the whole morning.
- Small bills, and more than you think The egg table and the flower buckets are cash only, and the card reader at the far end goes down by mid-morning. Break a twenty on the way in.
- Book the table an hour later than seems sensible The cheese stall takes longer than anyone budgets for. Ask for a table with room underneath, because the haul is coming with you.
