Deal Me In
The dealer button moves left all night, and someone still asks whose deal it is.
This design has the Final Touch: the wording is stamped, stitched or foiled to match the artwork, so the card reads as one finished piece.
Start from it and your wording is painted in the same way, exactly as you type it.
What the Final Touch isA game night invitation for the version that starts with dinner. Steaks are ordered at eight, the plates are cleared, and the cloth comes off to a green felt that someone carried in rolled under one arm. The chips are clay, not plastic, and they get stacked by colour before anyone touches a card. A brass dealer button sits at the first seat and begins its slow trip around the table.
The seats are counted and held, which is the whole point of naming names. Nobody drifts in at eleven and asks to be dealt in mid-hand. The night turns somewhere in the third hour, when the small talk dies off completely and the only sounds are chips, the shuffle, and one person reconsidering. Then it ends, the felt gets rolled up, and the last two stay to settle up in cash.

What to actually tell people
- Hold the room, not just the table Call the restaurant and ask whether cards after dessert are permitted, and in which room. A private back table with a door is worth asking about by name.
- Settle dinner before the first deal Close the food bill as its own transaction while everyone is still sober enough to divide it. Chips should never be used to pay for a ribeye.
- Set the buy-in on the invitation One figure, agreed before anyone sits down, removes the longest conversation of the night. Decide whether rebuys are allowed and say so once.
- Bring two decks and a dealer button Steak hands ruin a deck by the second hour, so alternate colours and retire the greasy one. The button is what keeps the deal honest when the table loses count.
