Grace & Oliver
Two swans drift past the pavilion windows while the cake stand is set with scones.
Part of the TinselLux™ collection: invitations in stitched leather, tufted velvet, linen and satin.
The material is the card: linen with a visible weave, velvet with a nap, leather with its grain. It costs the same as every other invitation.
See the collectionThis wedding invitation is for an afternoon by the water: folding chairs set out on the lawn, a short walk down to the pavilion, and vows said while the light is still high. Guests arrive in blush and ivory, the bridal party carries ribbon-tied stems, and the swans on the pond keep their distance from the aisle. Everything about it is soft: satin, pale pink, a bow tied at the back of a dress.
Then it moves indoors for tea. Sandwiches and scones go up on tiered stands, pots come around to every table, and the cake is cut without a long wait. Toasts happen between courses, while people still have a cup in front of them. There is music and a first dance later, but the middle of the afternoon belongs to the table.

What to actually tell people
- Set the ceremony for the light, then hold to it A late-afternoon start by the water means long, soft light for photographs and a shorter wait before tea. Ask the officiant to begin within ten minutes of the stated time so the tea does not go cold.
- Count the tea, not the dinner plates Plan on three or four sandwiches and one scone per guest, plus two pots per table of eight, with one caffeine-free pot on each. Use your final RSVP count to order, and tell the venue a day before.
- Plan for wind off the pond Paper programs and place cards lift in lake air. Weight them with small river stones or clip them to the chairs, and keep the swans out of the aisle by asking guests not to bring bread down to the water.
- Keep the palette to blush and ivory Two colors is what makes this look settled: blush for the linens and the stems, ivory for the ribbon on the chairs and the bouquet wrap. Send the bridal party a photo of the exact ribbon so the shades match in pictures.
