What the Final Touch isA bachelor party invitation for a night that happens entirely around one rented table. The suite is booked, the felt goes down over whatever furniture is there, and the chip rack is counted out before the first guest knocks. Black tie is optional, which in practice means four men in proper jackets, two in borrowed cufflinks, and one who has committed to the bow tie without knowing how it ties.
The buy-in is the same for everyone and the chips cash out for nothing, which nobody takes seriously until the second hour. The groom plays badly and is told so. Somewhere past midnight the pearl dice come out for a side game nobody agreed to the rules of, room service arrives for people still holding cards, and the table is settled by whoever is most awake. The jackets come off last.

What to actually tell people
- Set the buy-in in the invitation One number, same for every guest, stated before anyone arrives. A table where three people brought different amounts stops being a game within the hour.
- Rent the table, not the dealer A folding poker top fits over a suite desk or a coffee table and costs less than an hour of a hired dealer. Rotate the deal clockwise and give the groom a pass on it.
- Clear the dress code before the day Black tie optional needs a ruling: say whether a jacket without a tie counts. Keep two spare bow ties and a set of cufflinks in your bag for the men who read the line and did nothing about it.
- Book the suite for the noise, and tell the desk Ask for a floor with a function room or an end corner, and mention a card game at check-in rather than at midnight. Order food to the room at the start of the night, not after the kitchen closes.
