Ninja Training | White Belt
The white belts go on at the door, and half of them come undone before the first run.
This design has the Final Touch: the wording is stamped, stitched or foiled to match the artwork, so the card reads as one finished piece.
Start from it and your wording is painted in the same way, exactly as you type it.
What the Final Touch isA birthday invitation to a morning on the mats, run before anyone has had lunch. Shoes go off inside the door in two rows. Each guest gets a white cotton belt and one demonstration of the knot, which is enough for almost nobody. The course is already taped out on the floor: foam blocks, a low beam, a line of cones to be cleared without a foot landing outside the tape.
The turn comes on the second attempt, when the times start being read aloud and the seven-year-olds work out that they are faster than the adults who drove them. Bare feet, retied belts, a bow at the edge of the mat on the way in and on the way out. The cake waits on a folding table in the lobby until the last run is finished, and the belts go home still on.

What to actually tell people
- Buy belts in bulk A dozen plain white cotton belts in the shortest length cost less than a goody bag each. Tie one yourself the night before so you can demonstrate the knot without reading instructions off a phone.
- Tape the course before guests arrive Three stations is plenty: foam blocks to cross, a low beam to walk, cones to weave. Mark the start and finish in painter's tape so there is no argument about where a run ended.
- Nothing goes on the mat No shoes, no juice boxes, no cake. Keep food and gifts on a folding table outside the mat line, and the venue will let you book again.
- End with the names Read every guest's name aloud in the last five minutes and send them off in the belt they came in. It takes four minutes and it beats a party bag.
