Title Fight Champion
The rounds are three minutes, called off a phone propped against the cooler.
This design has the Final Touch: the wording is stamped, stitched or foiled to match the artwork, so the card reads as one finished piece.
Start from it and your wording is painted in the same way, exactly as you type it.
What the Final Touch isA just because invitation for the afternoon two cousins decided a disagreement could be settled properly. The ring is four stakes and a length of clothesline on flat grass. Chairs go up on three sides, the cooler takes the fourth corner, and the gloves come out of a duffel bag that has been in a garage since high school. There is a belt. Nobody will say where it came from.
The crowd behaves itself for about ninety seconds. Then one corner starts shouting instructions, the timekeeper loses count, and an uncle who has never boxed begins explaining footwork to a man who is currently boxing. The decision is read out from an index card. The burgers go on. The belt sits on the table through dinner, and it goes home with somebody.

What to actually tell people
- Build the ring before anyone arrives Four stakes and a length of clothesline mark the corners. Put it on flat grass, well clear of the hose spigot and the raised bed.
- Two pairs of gloves, not one Sixteen-ounce gloves and a mouthguard for each fighter. Passing one pair back and forth between rounds stops working by the second round.
- Give the timer to a neutral party Three minutes on, one minute off, counted by someone who is not related to either fighter and not holding a drink.
- Decide the belt question in advance Agree before the gloves go on whether it stays at the house or leaves with the winner. Agreeing afterwards has never once gone well.
